One of my most exciting memories is meeting my very first Master Sommelier. (My goodness, she actually gets paid to taste wines? How marvelous is that?!) Up to that point, I’d been to many Wine Pairings and Tastings, but all the choices were made for me by the Chef and/or the Wine Distributor. I must admit, that evening the idea of choosing the wine myself was a bit scary. What a pleasant surprise - the restaurant’s servers were also Sommeliers. All that was required of me was that I relax and enjoy the company, food and wine.
Delightful.
