PhotoHunt: Wooden
This week’s Photo Hunter Theme is Wooden.
I decided to use my Tiki Torch for this weeks’ Wooden Theme because it’s may be the only time I’ll ever get to use it!
I’m usually in bed by 8:00, long before dark in the summer!
I usually light it only on the rare evening that isn’t so humid that it drives us back inside to the air conditioning!
The Tiki Torch is never left unattended, and is always extinguished before retiring for the evening.

The bottom part of that torch is wooden right? Not often we see these torches around homes
Beautiful rendition, nice solution for the week’s subject. Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend!
Nice shots and a really inventive take on this week’s theme. Happy weekend!
I have a pair of Tiki torches bought 5 years ago and never been used. hehe….
Take care the fire it might cause. And you sleep kind of early huh.
Don’t you worry about them burning so close to the house? I don’t think I’d be able to sleep. I remember after our barn burned in 93, I’d get up and prowl through the house at all hours of the night, scared to death something was burning.
Hey this is really cool!! This reminds me of that Survivor series..hehe
have a good weekend!

My dad has a few of those which he occasionally uses, though we owned them for 10 years before anyone thought of using them.
We probably need one of those. ~Scylla, Charybdis & Socks
it’s lovely to use that when weather permits, enjoying outdoors or having a relax evening. not too relax though, as you’ve mentioned one has to attend to it. this is great for garden affairs.
happy weekend!
wow this is something i havent seen before
great post! do check out my wooden too hehehe have a great weekend
I really like when I have an excuse to use mine – but mine are metal.
It does look like the torch is awfully close to the house, but it’s probably just the angle.
My sister-in-law has two daughters and they love to throw outside parties lined with Tiki torches.
How nice. It must make an evening quite romantic.
We have torches like this and we never get around to lighting them either.
Great choice for The Hunt.
Nice! It look so nice and warm there. I can hardly wait for summer, to bring out the tiki torches! lol (Love the name of your blog, by the way.) Thanks for stopping by for my first Show and Tell Friday! Come on back for the Photo Hunt if you get a chance. ;o)
I love tiki-torches! I don’t know why, they just make me think of pretty beaches, warm nights, and love!
I don’t know if I can leave a witty comment but I’ll leave an honest one.
I don’t why Tiki Torch always fascinate me. I always thought of having a nice rock porch and having a few Tiki Torches around.
Mine is up.
That’s nice saving some electricity for having that wooden torch out there to light up the way during the night, great shot! Happy weekend!

SWEET PARADISE
I don’t know if it’s the angle of the photo or what but the Tiki torch looks a little too close to the house… is it? Happy PH!
wow thats lovely, I remember when I was in my homeland we use to make our own torch to light our way at night when we were going to my grandparents.

Oh I so know what you mean. In Seattle there is a long period of summer where it stays light till 10:00 so I can’t use my outdoor lighting in my patio, etc. cuz it just doesn’t get dark enough before I want to be in bed…
I’m glad you could use your tiki torch for the hunt! have a great weekend…
Yer house is wooden too! It’s da same color as ours!
More reminders of summer, but we still have so long to wait. Great idea for wooden.
wonderful shot here..like the 2nd one by the way.wonderful entry for this week theme.Have a great weekend..;)

Life’s Impression
Those are beautiful photographs. The tiki torch would be great when you’re outside on pleasant evenings. I have trouble with the humidity in the summer where I live. Have a great rest of your weekend.
Those are great torches. We do have torches too but not wooden.
Great choice for the theme. Sorry for the late comment, I lost my internet connection earlier when I was about to hit the submit comment button. Happy Sunday.
Good choice for wooden. We have those here (Philippines). Happy hunting.
